![]() We have no idea where the next mission may be, so running out of money is possible. Looks like I’ll have to waste a perk to fortify their minds when their level comes up. Dang! The two guys I was praising up and down a little bit ago. Who are these chickens? Konrad the Farmer and Alfred the Apprentice. So two of my men don’t even have the current capabilities listed since it only takes 1 enemy engaged to get their panties soiled. Every time the surrender flag gets a little higher, their attack and defense abilities get worse. While hiring and so happy about the other stats, I totally forgot to notice that two of my men have resolve in the 30’s. In the last battle I started paying attention to the fact as soon as an enemy draws up, some of my guys start getting ready to run. They’re fine with that as it means more food for them! Or more accurately, a lesser chance of them starving… I tell the men we should have some reserve currency before trying to hit the 12 man ambition goal we set for ourselves. Our home is Treiten in the vale of Vinland, but we’ve been curious about the forested village North of White Goat Mounds, Tanndorf. They need fixing, but at half off, tools are cheaper than dead men. Here in Wunderstadt I find a good deal on holey padded armor. He’s got a big head, so I better get him a better hat before it gets shot off. The fact he’s never been face-to-face with an enemy, sitting in back as Crossbowman doesn’t seem to phase him. Theudobald got all the gear Robin could have inherited, grumbling yet again about wearing the tatterings of corpses. The men are close, and the newcomer, Theudobald, who hails from some far off territory, has been warmly welcomed… except not by Robin. ![]() We’ve only been together 3 days, some were just hired, but it feels like a lifetime. When’s the other shoe going to drop? That’s the feeling I get as the guys wake to see what holds outside our little vale of Vinland.
